The Ochsner Clinical School offers students a unique, exciting opportunity to be part of a global medical school experience that truly provides a world view of all that a career in medicine can provide. Through this program, students can experience a medical education from two world-class academic medical institutions: UQ School of Medicine and the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have joined to create a distinctive program for outstanding students that will lead to the practice of medicine in the United States.

Core Clinical Rotations

Through core clinical rotations at Ochsner, students join the total health care team and participate in all phases of patient care in a comprehensive, integrated health care delivery system.

Through faculty-guided instruction on the comprehension of human illness, the core clinical rotations teach students the essentials of history taking, conducting physical examinations, analyzing laboratory tests, and understanding completely the mechanisms of disease in order to reach a clinical diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan.
