RACGP QA & CPD

The HIV & HCV Education Projects is an Endorsed Provider of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for the 2008– 2010 triennium. Most of the education activities offered by the HIV & HCV Education Projects attract RACGP QA & CPD Points.

In general, education activities attract 2 points per hour (Category 2) or, where activities qualify, 40 points (Category 1). For the category and number of points for any particular activity, refer to the flyer or documentation for that activity.

The following standard courses attract 40 points (Category 1):

• Education Course in Sexual Health for General Practitioners
• Education Course in HIV Medicine
• Prescribers’ Course in HIV Medicine

ACRRM Credit Points

The HIV/HCV Education Project has an established relationship with and endorsement from the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). As a result we are able to award Professional Development Program (PDP) points for attendance at any education activity in HIV, Sexual Health or Hepatitis. Currently up to 20 points can be awarded for the attendance of a 2 day course.
