The Queensland Centre for Intellectual and Developmental Disability (QCIDD), supports people with intellectual disability. It does this through research, teaching and clinical activities. The centre is headed by Associate Professor Nicholas Lennox. QCIDD, formerly known as DDU (Developmental Disability Unit), is part of the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland. It is located at the Mater Misericordiae Public Hospitals in South Brisbane.

QCIDD aims to support people with developmental disability in four ways:

  • Providing clincial services
  • Teaching
  • Doing research
  • Providing resources
