10. Evaluation

Evaluation is an essential component of the MBBS Program, as is your participation in the evaluation process. In order to maintain and continually improve the quality of the Program, the School of Medicine needs feedback about its effectiveness from the students’ perspective.

Evaluations in Year 2 will include: your evaluation of the assessment process in Year 1, entry surveys concerning your opinions about different aspects of the Program, and surveys throughout the year to monitor how the Program is functioning. As in Year 1, your comments about the Problem-Based Exercises and other teaching resources will be used to help review them where necessary.

The School values your opinions. Your involvement in the evaluation process should give you a sense of ownership of the Program, since your opinions have been, and will be, considered by the Teaching and Learning Committee, and acted upon when appropriate.

In addition, you will be strongly encouraged throughout the Program to engage in ‘self evaluation’. This will assist you throughout your formal education, and ensuing professional life.
